Our process
1. Raw materials.
The first step to obtaining the distinctive Glass & Glass
crystallinity is the careful reception and inspection of raw materials in accordance with our own internal quality standards. A mixture of silica sand, soda ash, calcium carbonate and our own cullet is prepared for smelting.
2. Smelting
The aforementioned mixture is put into the oven at a 1,530 °C (2,786 °F). The resulting liquefied mix is then cut into drop-shaped portions.
3. Shaping
The “drops” are then poured into the required molds.
4. Tempering
All recently poured products are stored in a slow burning oven, where they undergo a controlled cooling process until they reach a 30 °C (86 °F) temperature. This process guarantees their good resistance and stability.
5. Quality check.
Once ready, a quality team checks and verifies the products’ dimensions and characteristics in accordance with the Glass & Glass standard.
We follow these strict checks to ensure the best of the best for our customers.
6. Packing and distribution.
All products are packed and stored in pallets, to then be loaded following the client’s needs.
